Conveyor chain is extremely adaptable for different tasks and environments resulting in many different types of chain, dimensions and configurations. With several hundred different special types of chain on the market often designed to be applied to a specific machine, if our range of stock chain is not suitable our bespoke chain service can manufacture any chain with any attachments. Here are some of the most popular types of chain we supply with or without integrated attachments.
Roller Chain / Transmission Chain The most commonly used chain is roller chain or as it is also known transmission chain. These are the simplest chain drives, used mainly for transmitting power. |
Extended Pin Roller Chain Similar to traditional roller or transmission chain but with an extended pin coming out of either one side or both sides of the chain. |
Solid Pin Chain These heavy duty chains have straight, flat side plates and are used for moving products / materials which either sit directly on top of the chain or are propelled using specific fitted attachments. |
Hollow Pin Chain Same as the solid pin conveyor chain, only these have a hollow bore through which a metal rod can be placed to assist the movement of products or materials between two or more parallel strands of chain. |
Forged Link Chain These chains are normally supplied with flights welded onto each side. Used for scraping loose granular products such as cement, flour and grain. |
Crank Link Chain Heavy duty chains, typically used on rotary screens and theme park rides. Used mainly for transmitting huge amounts of power. |
Apron Conveyor Chain These chains are fed with product being dumped directly onto the steel slats of the chain. The product can then be conveyed up an incline and fed directly into another awaiting machine such as a rotary hammer crusher. |
